Maxine K. Last has been practicing matrimonial and family law for more than 30 years. Ms. Last is not only an accomplished and respected litigator, but a seasoned negotiator. Throughout Ms. Last’s career she has brought thousands of complex equitable distribution and custody cases to conclusion, acquiring top results for her clients while making what can be a harrowing experience much less stressful. 

Specifically, Ms. Last prides herself on being able to provide personal attention to each and every one of her clients as she believes that each case deserves a tailor made approach in order to ensure an optimal outcome. Ms. Last’s clients constantly remark on the confidence they have that Ms. Last always has their best interests at heart. 

Ms. Last’s reputation as an advocate proceeds her, and she is regarded as an esteemed member of the legal community in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens Counties. She has been quoted in multiple publications on the subjects of matrimonial and family law, including the New York Times. 

Most recently, Ms. Last’s accomplishments, notoriety and reputation for no-nonsense practicality have led to her being selected as a Special Master in Nassau County. In this program, judges refer other attorneys to a “veteran” professional like Ms. Last in order to guide them towards a resolution. 

Maxine is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association and Women’s Bar Association.
