Maxine K. Last has been practicing matrimonial and family law for more than 30 years. Ms. Last is not only an accomplished and respected litigator, but a seasoned negotiator. Throughout Ms. Last’s career she has brought thousands of complex equitable distribution and custody cases to conclusion, acquiring top results for her clients while making what can be a harrowing experience much less stressful.

Rachel Hammel graduated from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law in 2016 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2017. During her time in law school, Ms. Hammel interned for the Brooklyn Administration for Children’s Services and participated in Hofstra’s Youth Advocacy Clinic where she represented children in the context of Family Court matters. Ms. Hammel also contributed to the development of the Hofstra Center for Children, Families and the Law. 

Ms. Hammel has been an associate attorney of the firm since her graduation from law school and is an accomplished and assertive legal writer and advocate. Further, Ms. Hammel prides herself on her ability to communicate with clients regarding even the most difficult and emotional issues. Ms. Hammel works....





Cara Cioffalo is our firm’s paralegal with over fourteen (14) years of experience. Specifically, she had been working in the matrimonial and family law fields for approximately a decade. She holds her paralegal certificate from Adams University and handles all of the firm’s day to day operations. Ms. Cioffalo is a valued member of our support staff.
