Rachel Hammel graduated from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law in 2016 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2017. During her time in law school, Ms. Hammel interned for the Brooklyn Administration for Children’s Services and participated in Hofstra’s Youth Advocacy Clinic where she represented children in the context of Family Court matters. Ms. Hammel also contributed to the development of the Hofstra Center for Children, Families and the Law.

Ms. Hammel has been an associate attorney of the firm since her graduation from law school and is an accomplished and assertive legal writer and advocate. Further, Ms. Hammel prides herself on her ability to communicate with clients regarding even the most difficult and emotional issues. Ms. Hammel works closely with Ms. Last in order to constantly remain in contact with clients, keeping them up to date on matters attendant to their case in order to provide clients with a sense of security and empowerment.

Ms. Hammel is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association
